Gemstone jewelry is getting back into fashion over the past few years, and one of the most sought after is Opal stone. For this reason, online stores are flooded with thousands of different Opal rings ranging from vintage to modern, wedding bands, engagement, butterflies, chevrons, and so on.
The first thing that I would suggest is to read carefully all information about the Opal stones that you want to purchase. Please don’t just buy the cheapest ring since you will end up with a plastic or glass boulder. Even though natural opal gemstones can be pricey, reaching a few thousand dollars per carat, you can find reasonably priced rings. Moreover, if you decide to purchase “lab-created opals,” you will end up with gorgeous jewelry at a great price.
Cheap Opal Rings $0-$25
In the cheap department, you can’t expect to get a gold ring. I believe that you already know that, but you can expect and demand fair quality. Most of the opal rings in this price segment are garbage, but you can find a few interesting ones. You can expect a few 925 silver rings with lovely lab-created opals. To help you, I have selected a few interesting examples.
Jude Jewelers Stainless Steel Ring
This is a stunning ring and a great representative in the cheap department. This ring is made from stainless steel with white opal stone. When you take a closer look at the specifications, you will see that it is “created Opal.” In this case, the price of around $13 is justified considering that it is a steel ring with lab-created Opal stone.
Sterling Silver Oval Ring
For a few more bucks, you can move up from stainless steel to sterling silver. This particular ring looks great, and you love wearing discreet jewelry, this Opal ring will be a fantastic fit for you. It is made from silver alloy with 92.5% silver mixed with alloys that add to its strength and durability. Stone in the description is “White Simulated Opal,” which means that it is lab-created Opal stone. The price of around $16-$19 is justified for this exciting piece of jewelry.
White Gold Plated Ring
I found this ring as one exciting representative in the cheap segment. When you take a closer look, you will see fantastic opal stone surrounded by dazzling zircons. This lovely ring would be an exciting gift for every lady. The ring is gold plated with a lab-created opal gem. For the price under $25 is one of the most beautiful rings that you can find.
Tips: When looking for cheap opal rings, pay close attention to ring description and product details to determine what you buy.
Opal Rings $25-$50
We are approaching the range where we can find natural opal stones, but they will be rare for sure. You can expect a bit better metal in this price range of higher quality and better crafted in this price range. The rings in the price category won’t look like cheap pieces of jewelry but something that you can proudly show to your friends and family. Those opal rings will draw attention when chosen carefully, and many persons will ask questions about them.
Wedding Engagement Ring
Even though this ring is labeled as a “wedding engagement ring,” I would give it as a gift rather than an engagement ring. In any case, this ring is gorgeous for sure. It is made from 925 sterling silver and lab-created opal stone with cubic zirconia stones surrounding the central gemstone. It is a stunning ring that you can wear every day. With the price of $18-$28, it is accessible to everyone.

Round White Ring with Zircons
This ring’s unique vintage-inspired design with two side stones and one main lab-created opal stone will surely draw attention. The ring is made from 925 sterling silver and 1.75-carat main synthetic gemstone that is skillfully cut to bring out the gem’s brilliance. It looks more expensive than it is, and you can get it for around $40.
Tips: Pay close attention to the metal type of the ring and opal stone. Even though most opals in this price range will be lab-created, we have a slight chance of finding natural opals.
Opal Rings $50-$100
I have tried to find natural Opal rings for this category, but all my efforts were in vain. Few of them could be here, but I find them pretty dull and not good enough. Quality is not there, so I will stick with lab-created opals until I find a natural one that may deserve to be here. I have selected a few mesmerizing designs that are highly prized.
Peora Created White Opal Vintage Ring
Peora creates pretty decent quality jewelry, and this particular white opal ring looks interesting. Considering its price, it looks and feels much more expensive. Now, the actual ring is made from 925 sterling silver with lab-created 1.25 carats opal stone. This jewel comes with a certificate, which is pretty nice. Of course, that is something that you should expect in this price range.
Gem Stone King White Ring
Gem Stone King provided this interesting white lab-created opal cabochon ring with 0.69 carat stone and a few cubic zirconia gems. The ring is made of 925 sterling silver. From what I can see, it looks pretty nice, discreet, and fashionable. For around $60, you can buy it, and you will get it in a secured package inside a nice box.
White Ring with Rose Gold Details
This is one of my favorites for sure. I must say that I love its discreet design with rose gold details. White lab-created Opal stone has 0.63 carats and sits proudly inside a prong setting. The ring is made from 925 sterling silver and 10K rose gold details. Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful rings in this price range.
Opal Rings $100+
In this price range, you should only buy genuine rings with natural Opal stone. No matter how beautiful the ring design is, don’t settle here for lab-created Opals unless you really fall in love with the ring. Moreover, I would also expect a gemstone certificate, but that is not always the case. It is not a deal-breaker, but it would be an excellent and fair addition. I have found a lot of gorgeous rings in the $100+ price range, and some of them are beautiful for sure, so they may be used as engagement rings.

This sterling silver ring with natural Australian opal stone is made in England. Skilled jewelers made interesting Victorian design rings that will draw eyes, and you will receive a lot of compliments. The ring is made with one bit 6x4mm stone and two 4mm gems.

Yellow Gold Opal Ring with Diamonds
I must say that this is a gorgeous yellow gold ring. It is made from 10K gold, a lab-created Opal stone surrounded with natural white diamonds. This is for sure one of Valentine’s day’s best gifts, as a birthday gift, graduation, or promise ring. Its simple and classic design will go well with any style you wear.
